Adult Faith Formation

Join us monthly as we grow together in faith and are inspired to bring our Catholic faith into the world in transformative and life-giving ways. We will explore the monthly themes below through engaging speakers, expert panels, testimonials, discussions, experiences and much, much more. All sessions will be from 9:45 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. Locations and exact details will be shared monthly through flocknote, announcements and social media. Childcare will be available in Madonna Hall during the sessions.

Discernment: What Should I do…

From life’s big decisions to the daily choices we make, how do we know God’s will and the right direction to go. Come learn from several of our tradition’s wise teachers and find peace as you put into practice new techniques and practical suggestions.

 

May 19, 2024

Putting the ‘Social’ in Justice

Come deepen your understanding of our shared baptismal call to be people of justice. Explore the role of faith and the Church’s work on behalf of exposing unjust systems and working to build a more just society.

Speaker series ends after the May 19th talk and will resume in the Fall of 2024.

Adult Faith Formation

Mission

To assist the Adult Faith Formation
Coordinator in developing and facilitating adult faith formation opportunities for the parish.

 

Qualifications and Skills Needed

An Adult Faith Formation Team member is someone who is joyful in their love of Christ, prayerful, flexible and faithful to this ministry of the church and would like to participate in various aspects Adult Faith Formation. Some of these include Adult Confirmation, Mini-Retreats, ongoing Catechesis and Parish Community Events. We need volunteers who will provide a
welcoming environment, collaborate with a parish team and seek out opportunities for training and spiritual enrichment.

 

Time Required

Time required varies and depends on level of involvement.

Book Club

Mission

The Immaculata Book Club enjoys reading books that enrich our faith knowledge and inspire our hearts.

We read a variety of books from classics to recently published, while deciding as a group the pace to take with each book. Parishioners over 18 are welcome.

Qualifications & Skills Needed

People willing to read, share and listen to the many insights the books may have brought about in our hearts and minds.

 

Time Required

The Book Clubs meets the first and third Thursday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in The Immaculata’s Conference Room. You are welcome to participate one book at a time or as your schedule permits.
