About
Altar Servers are lay members of the parish who assist the presider during the Celebration of Mass and other liturgical ceremonies. They actively work to help maintain the reverence and smooth flow of the liturgy.
What
Some roles of Altar Servers Include:
Leading the entrance and recessional processions.
Presenting the Roman Missal to the priest or prayers.
Assisting with setting up the chalice, paten, and other sacred vessels.
Helping the priest wash his hands before the consecration.
Assisting with incense during solemn Masses.
